2002 Kicks for Cancer Results

On December 8, 2002 at East Coast Cafe in Woodbridge, Va., the Mi-Ki-Do Team put their winning record on the line against the Toledo Tigers fighting team from Ohio.

Match 1
Tamara Harris, a first-time participant, displayed her kickboxing skills against Jessica Costa by winning a unanimous decision.

Match 2
Nicole Hess (15 yrs.old), 2001 & 2002 Junior USA IKF Champion, fought Michelle Levine (18yrs. old) in a Muay Thai match, stopping her opponent in the second round.

Match 3
Sam Yousefi won the Virginia FFA Featherweight title in a unanimous decision.

Match 4
Todd Hughes won an exciting Muay Thai match with a third round KO.

Match 5
Charles Crenshaw fought in a MMA (mixed martial arts) match and stopped his opponent in the first round.

Extras
We also conducted an exhibition match by Mi-Ki-Do members Tamie Lankey and Umaer Haq because their opponents did not show up.

Master Hess was given an award for coaching excellence, commending him for his great success in turning out champions.

This team has now won:

  • One 2002 Virginia FFA Featherweight title
  • Two IKF East Coast titles
  • Three 2001 IKF USA titles
  • Three 2002 North American Titles
  • Five 2002 IKF USA titles

For a total of 14 titles! The Mi-Ki-Do team is the top team in the country!
