MiKiDo Champs win World Titles
 

 

MiKiDo Fighters win two titles at the 2008 World Classic in Cedar Rapids, Iowa

Alexandria, Va resident, Brent Hess, defeats three top-level MMA champions in a convincing and impressive style. The MiKiDo instructor defeated Mike Wells of Idaho Falls, Idaho in his first match. In the semi-final round he defeated Lance Surma of Lake Station, Indiana by tapout and in the finals he defeated William Joplin, the current US Champion, from Ashland, Missouri. Brent defeated Joplin by unanimous decision winning the Title Belt and ranking him #1 in the Amateur 145 lbs. Featherweight class, making him the ISCF world champion in his respective weight class.

Umaer Haq, the 135 lb. MiKiDo Champion, defeated Tryce Davis of Chicago, Illinois in the preliminary round with an arm lock in the first round. Umaer proceeded to the finals and won a unanimous decision over Lloyd Carter of Lake Station, Indiana making him the 135 lb. ISCF world champion.

Coach Hess, having attained 72 National and International titles to date, says, “My boys showed big heart and they proved to be the best by beating the best! I am so proud of them!!!”
